About us
The PASMO Foundation strengthens social resilience through education, collaboration, and the implementation of practical solutions that improve quality of life.
We operate as PASMO – Institute for Social Resilience since 2025. Our experience grows out of work on the European Capital of Culture in Bielsko-Biała, where we developed projects that strengthened the well-being of residents.
What is social resilience and why does it matter?
It is the ability of every individual, but also communities and institutions, to maintain well-being, cope with change and act together. It is especially important in the face of contemporary challenges: the mental health and loneliness crisis, disinformation and growing social divisions, as well as the lack of accessible, welcoming public spaces.
Mission
Our vision is a society that not only manages crises but also grows through collaboration, care, and the wise use of resources. That is why we create space for learning together, acting together, and designing solutions that serve people and the environment.
How do we work?
- Multisectorally: we connect culture, health, education, and social action. We design and deliver trainings, workshops, audits, and artistic activities.
- Locally: we collaborate with residents and support the development of communities and grassroots initiatives.
- Internationally: we participate in projects and pursue shared goals with other organizations across Europe.
Collaboration
We invite local governments, public institutions, social organizations, and companies to work with us, as well as anyone for whom building relationships, spreading knowledge, and taking everyday action within their community is important.
